Red packet printing for Singapore buyers: custom ang pow and ang bao sets printed, foil-stamped and die-cut at our Foshan factory, then shipped to Singapore. We are a Chinese printing factory — there is no Singapore office or local press — and that is exactly why the specification sits with the people who run the machines. Formats are the 158 × 80 mm landscape packet Singapore buyers usually specify, the 80 × 170 mm portrait and the 90 × 90 mm square, with a 1,000-piece minimum across every print method.
What Singapore companies, hotels, wedding couples and agencies actually order — and how the specification is set before anything goes on press.
Singapore buyers search for ang pow printing, ang bao printing and custom red packet printing for the same task: a branded packet, in a format people recognise, delivered before the season it is needed for. The work is ordinary custom printing — artwork, a die-line, print, foil or emboss, then die-cut, fold and glue — done at a factory rather than at a local copy shop, which is what makes a consistent run of 1,000+ packets possible.
Three order types come up most often from Singapore: Chinese New Year corporate sets, wedding ang pow packets, and general corporate gifting sets used through the year. All three use the same formats and the same finishing options; what changes is the artwork and how far ahead the order has to land.
The searches read several ways — ang pow printing singapore, custom red packet printing singapore, ang bao printing singapore, custom red packet singapore and customised red packet singapore — and they all describe the same order. Singapore spelling shifts the vowel (ang pow, ang bao), and "customised" is the local form of "customized"; none of that changes what gets printed.
| Order type | What it usually includes | Format most often specified |
|---|---|---|
| Chinese New Year corporate set | Logo in foil, the year's motif, staff and customer quantities, sometimes an insert card | 158 × 80 mm landscape, occasionally 80 × 170 mm portrait |
| Wedding ang pow | A refined mark — foil monogram, emboss or blind deboss — in a smaller or square format | 158 × 80 mm landscape or 90 × 90 mm square |
| Corporate gifting set | A year-round packet with the brand system, often paired with gift envelopes | 80 × 170 mm portrait |
| Retail / F&B giveaway | High-quantity, low-cost-per-unit packets for counters and events | 158 × 80 mm landscape |
If you are still deciding on the object itself, the custom red packet range shows stocks and finishing side by side, and the red packet sizes guide gives inner sizes and banknote clearances.
The minimum order for red packet printing in Singapore is 1,000 pieces. The same figure applies to every print method, digital and offset alike, and to every format — a run below 1,000 pieces cannot be put into production, however small the packet.
The minimum is a factory figure, not a Singapore-specific one: each order needs its own die, a press make-ready and finishing set-ups, and those are recovered across the run. Shipping does not change it. A Singapore order of 1,000 packets is freighted as one consignment, and the freight is quoted with the order rather than added afterwards.
| Item | Minimum | Note for Singapore orders |
|---|---|---|
| Printed ang pow / red packets | 1,000 pieces | Applies to digital and offset printing alike |
| Custom format with a new die | 1,000 pieces | Die work quoted with the order; standard formats skip it |
| Foil, emboss or spot UV added | 1,000 pieces | Finishing changes the artwork rules, not the minimum |
| Runs below 1,000 pieces | Not offered | Die, make-ready and finishing set-ups are quoted per order |
Price and lead time are quoted per specification — format, stock, printing, finishing, quantity and destination — through Request a Quote.
Sizes are written width × height on the finished, glued packet. The landscape packet is the one most Singapore buyers mean by "ang pow".
| Format | Finished size (W × H) | Opening | Where it is used in Singapore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landscape / wallet | 158 × 80 mm | Long edge | The local ang pow standard — CNY corporate sets, wedding packets, retail giveaways |
| Portrait / pocket | 80 × 170 mm | Short edge | The traditional tall packet, often specified by regional headquarters |
| Square | 90 × 90 mm | — | Hotels, F&B, wedding suites and creative runs |
| Custom | To your die-line | Your call | Same 1,000-piece minimum; die quoted with the order |
Two practical points for a Singapore order. First, the finished size is the outer dimension: the inner pocket is usually 2–3 mm smaller on every edge, so a folded note needs that allowance built into the die-line. Second, artwork needs 2–3 mm of bleed so trimming never exposes a white edge. Banknote comparisons are on the red packet size guide.
Foil on red is the classic look and the finish with the tightest artwork rules. These are the tolerances to design to before you send artwork.
| Process | Where Singapore buyers use it | Design constraint |
|---|---|---|
| Foil stamping | Gold marks on CNY corporate sets and wedding packets | Keep foil lines ≥ 0.2 mm wide and ≥ 1 mm clear of other artwork, or the foil breaks up |
| Emboss / deboss | Blind-embossed monograms on wedding packets | Blind embossing on pre-coloured card avoids printing a large solid |
| Spot UV | A gloss mark over a matte or soft-touch base | Keep spot UV away from the trimmed edges, or pressing and trimming chip it |
| Matte / soft-touch lamination | Premium corporate sets, usually paired with spot UV | Works best over a heavier coated stock |
| Self-adhesive seal or double-sided tape | Wedding and corporate packets handled by hand | Adds a converting step; confirm it on the die-line |
| Inside print / insert card | Sponsor marks, a thank-you line, a seasonal greeting | Inside print is a separate pass; the insert card can carry market-specific wording |
The processes and their artwork rules are the same ones listed on the custom envelope printing line — the presses and foil units are the same equipment. The full process breakdown, including digital and offset choices, sits on the red packet printing page.
We print in Foshan, Guangdong. There is no Singapore office, warehouse or local press, and no point in pretending otherwise — what there is, is a factory that ships this product to 30+ countries.
Foshan is roughly an hour's drive from Guangzhou, with the port and airfreight links of the Pearl River Delta on the doorstep. Red packets freight well: they are light, they pack flat, and a 1,000-piece run is a small consignment by the standards of the freight we handle. The order is packed by format, then shipped to the address or forwarder you nominate, and the freight option and cost are quoted with the order rather than added later.
| Stage | Typical duration | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Quotation | Within 24 hours | Price, production schedule and freight option for a complete specification |
| Proof approval | 1–3 days | Digital proof of colour, position and die-line |
| New cutting die (custom formats only) | 3–5 days | Skipped on the standard 158 × 80, 80 × 170 and 90 × 90 formats |
| Production | 7–15 business days from approved proof | Print, foil or emboss, then die-cut, fold and glue |
| Shipping to Singapore | 3–10 days | Air or sea freight as quoted; destination port or door |
Two things travel with the order: the approved proof and the packing list. If you are buying through a Singapore agency or a freight forwarder, tell us at quotation stage — the documents and the delivery point are easier to set before production than after it.
The Singapore calendar sets the deadline, not the production line. Planning backwards from the date is what keeps a red packet order out of the peak.
Chinese New Year is the tightest window. The festival falls on Saturday 6 February 2027 — the Year of the Goat — and demand concentrates into the weeks before it, which fills the press calendar earlier than the date suggests. Corporate sets for staff and customers are usually the largest single order of the year, and they need to be finished and freighted well before the festival, not on the eve of it.
Wedding packets follow their own calendar and are planned further out, because the artwork usually has to match an invitation suite. Blind deboss and foil monograms are the common requests, and the square 90 × 90 mm format is popular for a modern suite.
Corporate gifting runs through the year: a packet that carries the brand system and can be used for a client thank-you or a launch, printed once and drawn down from stock. It is the order type least exposed to festival season.
For the year-specific detail — 2027 dates, the goat motif and the ordering timeline — see the Chinese New Year red envelopes page.
Send the format, quantity, stock and finishing you have in mind — the 158 × 80 mm landscape packet, a custom die-line, or something in between — and we will come back with factory-direct pricing, the 1,000-piece minimum order, the production schedule and the freight option.
