A key card envelope is a sealable card holder that protects and brands — and it shares the same folding, printing and finishing process as every envelope we make. Factory-direct with a low MOQ, plus foil and full-color options.
A key card envelope is a small sealable sleeve — usually with a fold-over flap — sized to hold a CR80 room key or access card. It does what a standard key card holder does, but with the protection and closure of an envelope, so the card can be sealed, handed over, or mailed without falling out.
This is where our envelope factory shines. A key card envelope is manufactured with the same folding, gluing, printing and finishing steps as a business envelope, so we reuse existing dies, papers and presses — which is exactly why the product is priced like an envelope, not a specialty card product. Compare it with a key card holder or browse envelope size chart standards to see how the sizes map.
Three standard configurations cover nearly every use — plus custom dies for anything unusual.
| Type | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Open-End / Open-Top | A simple open pocket the card slides into — no closure. | Fast check-in hand-off |
| Flap & Seal | A fold-over flap that closes the card inside — peel-and-seal or gummed. | Mailed keys, welcome packages |
| Windowed | A die-cut window that shows the card or a printed name panel. | Addressed mailings, member cards |
| Size | Dimensions | Use |
|---|---|---|
| CR80 Standard | Card 54 × 86 mm · Envelope ~66 × 95 mm | Fits a standard key card with room to spare |
| Slim / Snug | ~62 × 92 mm | Tighter fit for a minimalist look |
| Oversized / Welcome | ~70 × 100 mm and up | Holds the key card plus a welcome letter or map |
The full envelope printing menu, applied to the key card envelope.
Spot Pantone or four-color CMYK printing for logos, property names and artwork.
Gold or silver foil for a light-catching, premium brand mark on the flap or face.
Raised relief for tactile, three-dimensional branding.
Gloss or matte film that keeps envelopes crisp through handling.
Die-cut windows positioned to show the card, a name panel or an address.
Sanitary, fast-closing adhesive on the flap for high-volume mailings.
The key card sealed in a branded envelope — a cleaner hand-off than a loose card across the desk.
One envelope holding the key card plus a welcome note, Wi-Fi details and a resort map.
Peel-and-seal envelopes that ship room keys and access cards safely to guests or members.
An envelope sized for a generic card either jams the CR80 card or lets it slide around. Confirm 54 × 86 mm before we cut the die.
A gummed flap is wrong for a high-volume desk that hands cards out fast — choose peel-and-seal or an open-top instead.
A blank envelope is a wasted touchpoint. Even one-color logo printing turns a functional envelope into marketing.
